Songkran festival: celebrating new year in Thailand and Myanmar with water fights

A Thai boy uses a water pistol to fire water at a foreign tourist to celebrate Songkran, also known as the water festival in Bangkok. The three-day Songkran festival is celebrated in Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar as the traditional New Year's Day from 13 to 15 April. During festivities, people spray water and put powder on each other's faces to symbolise washing away the sins from the old year.
